Is it just me who still feels 18 inside (albeit very self assured)? I'm in my mid-twenties now, and feel far from being a grown up. But then I see old school friends on Facebook, married with babies and mortgages and Volvos. Already? Don't get me wrong; I intend to be the perfect wife and mother one day. I actually enjoy cleaning, I'm awesome at baking, I'm ladylike in public and filthy in the bedroom. Winning combination. But that all comes later; for now, there are too many parties to stir up, too much champagne to drink and too many millionaires to seduce. I'm guessing that at this rate, I'll burn out in a few years anyway.
To remind me that I'm not in fact 18, I found a white hair this morning. Traumatising. To the hairdressers, hide the evidence!

Don't worry Brooke. You can be married, have a mortgage, kids and be twice your age, and still feel (and behave) like an 18 year old.
ReplyDeleteA Volvo - well, that is another question entirely :)
