Exasperated

WHY ARE MEN SO DIFFICULT?! They think that women are fickle, but when we tell them exactly what we want or need, they either have selective hearing and still fail to understand, or get so caught up in their own stubbornness that they deliberately do the opposite and then think they've won some kind of personal victory. I wouldn't count two miserable people as a victory at all! Grrrrrrrrr.

Luckily, I'm very good at separating my personal life from my work. When I see clients, I forget that they are in fact men, those creatures that exasperate me so much. I see them as friends, lovers or quick cash - depending on how much I enjoy their company. But because none of them are potential boyfriends, it's very difficult indeed for a client to infuriate me in the way that the barman could, for example. It's all too easy to cast a wild generalisation when a man's upset you, but I always remind myself that women have the potential to be quite ghastly too (excluding my lovely self, of course ;-p). No point hating all men, you may as well hate all mankind, then life would be no fun at all! I tend to veer the other way; I like most people I meet, I try to see the best in everyone. But every so often, someone goes that extra mile to rub me up the wrong way...

Taking deep breaths,

Brooke x

  1. Oh dear, Brooke, I hope this barman fellow pulls his finger out and makes an honest women of you. I am speaking metaphorically, of course.

  2. Thanks Gorilla. If you can overlook the fact that I accept money for sex, I'm actually a good person. I deserve better... x

  3. I know some very good and lovely people who accept money for sex, and some absolute shits who never would in a million years. If you are kind and honest you qualify for "good" in my book regardless of what you do. I mean escorting is nowhere near as bad as, say, professional Morris Dancing, is it?

In what way is accepting money for sex a bad thing,or in any way evil?
    there are no games,no deceit...
    Overlook it?
it's the main thing that makes Working Girls so fascinating to me.

  6. I don't think there's anything wrong with it Gerard, but there are many people out there who would disagree. I doubt they're reading this blog though, so I can assume we're all friends here!

  7. Indeed.
That is why the relationship between Working Girl and Client can often feel thrilling, dangerous, intoxicating, even special.

-Both are shunned or marginilised by society.
    -Both are stereotyped by society.
-Both are seen as guilty of sin.
    -Both are seen as outcasts.
-Both share moments and do things that remain shrouded in anonymity, aliases, hidden expenses.
-Both learn to follow and share unwritten codes, priviliged contacts, clandestine meetings,
-Both are definitely more open-minded than many, and see the world differently.
-Both may be breaking certain laws, depending where you are and what exactly you are doing.
-Both may well be doing things that are considered 'freaky' or immoral.
-Both share an instant expression of pure lust and intimacy, following an openly and honestly discussed pre-discussion and negotitation
At it's best, when I'm with a happy, confident, independent hooker I have a certain chemistry with,I'm happy,I feel like she's the Bonnie to my Clyde,or the Trinity to my Neo (The Matrix)
    We are like Outcasts,Outlaws.
Ignoring (or bending) rules and boundaries, and stepping off the path.
